All treatments at the symm label are performed by Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner Injectors with advanced training in cosmetic injectables, facial anatomy, and neuromodulator dosing. 

Our team of injectors work under the direction and supervision of our Owner and Advanced Nurse Injector, Jillian Schenk, alongside our Medical Director, Joanna Everson, NP. Injectables are what we do every day, with a focused, experience-led approach to facial balancing and patient safety. 

A consultation is, without a doubt, the most important part of your aesthetic treatment journey. All injectable treatments are medical procedures and require a thorough assessment by a qualified practitioner before treatment is considered.

During your consultation, we assess your full facial structure, skin quality, symmetry, medical history, medications, and goals. We review appropriate treatment options, expected outcomes, potential risks, and pricing in detail. 

We also believe in allowing space for thoughtful decision-making. Because of that, we never offer treatments on the same day as your consultation. 

You’ll receive detailed pre-treatment instructions ahead of your visit, and everything will be reviewed with you at your consultation. 

In general, prior to a treatment at the symm label, we recommend: 

• Getting a good night’s sleep 
• Staying well hydrated
• Eating prior to your appointment 

Avoiding alcohol and limiting caffeine before treatment may help reduce bruising. You’re welcome to arrive to your appointment makeup-free, though we will thoroughly cleanse the treatment area regardless. 

Post-care instructions are provided both verbally following your treatment, given post-treatment, or easily accessible on our website. These vary depending on treatment, but generally include: 

• Avoid strenuous activity for at least 24 hours*
• Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 24 hours* 
• Do not lie flat for 4 hours* 
• Avoid pressure or massage to treated areas for 24 hours*
• Avoid facial treatments or lasers for 24 hours* 

These guidelines help ensure product stability and optimal results.

All potential risks and considerations are reviewed during your consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision. 

Your Nurse Injector will discuss expected outcomes, longevity, and any possible complications associated with your treatment plan. You should always feel listened to, valued, and comfortable asking questions. Patient safety, ethical care, and transparency are always our priority at the symm label. 

Injectable treatments are not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while trying to conceive, as they are not tested in these populations. 

We do, however, offer pregnancy-safe skincare solutions and would be happy to guide you until you’re ready for treatment again!

For first-time patients or first-time treatments at the symm label, we recommend a complimentary two week follow up appointment. 

This allows us to review results, compare before and after photos, address any questions, and make minor adjustments if needed. Everyone responds differently to treatment, and this visit helps ensure you’re fully satisfied with your outcome. 

Yes! Parking is available on-site. Please provide your license plate number upon arrival so we can register your vehicle at no cost. 

If parking is not validated, rates are approximately $3.75 per hour through Indigo, and the symm label is not responsible for any parking violations that may occur.

In Canada, it is considered unethical to discount or incentivize medical procedures such as neuromodulators and dermal fillers. At the symm label, being grounded in ethics and integrity means that we do  not offer BOGO promotions or discounted injectable treatments. 

We do offer a referral program, loyalty program, and exclusive skincare offer through our email list, which can be discussed during your visit.

Yes, we do! At the symm label, ensuring our patients are comfortable with treatment extends to pricing. We offer financing options to help make treatment more accessible. Financing details can be discussed with your Nurse Injector or accessed directly through our financing partner.

Appointments are typically one-on-one to allow for focused discussion, unrushed care, and respect for scheduling. 

If you’d like to bring someone with you, please confirm with your Nurse Injector in advance. Otherwise, they may be asked to wait in the reception area.
